Spring is coming!
At 1500' up in the North Pennines we may be a little behind in this part of Cumbria but at last the first coltsfoot has made an appearance. Curlews and lapwings are wheeling and crying, a pair of kestrels is setting up home in the wood and a red squirrel ran across the path when we took the dogs out. The deer can be seen in the early morning and evening. Come and watch for yourself - either out in the elements or with a cup of coffee and a pair of binoculars from the kitchen window!
