CARPETS OF SPRING FLOWERS SPRINGING UP!

At last, after a long hard winter, the glorious bank holiday weather has brought colour back to Alston Moor! Wild pansies, water avens, scurvygrass and marsh marigolds are appearing in profusion and a little lower down bluebells, primroses and cowslips contrast with the cow parsley. At Groverake Mine the banks are covered in violets.
